Farrah Fawcett started her career as a model in Corpus Christi in Texas. Over the course of her long and notable career, she was nominated four time for an Emmy Award, six for the Golden Globe Award. The beginning of her career was at Corpus Christi in Texas. In addition, she appeared in guest roles on TV shows like "I I Dream of Jeannie" and "The Flying Nun". She made her film debut as a support actress in the French film 'Love Is A Funny Thing'. The film became famous due to her iconic red swimming suit poster which eventually became the most popular pin-up-themed poster of all time. Her appearances on popular TV as well as film productions helped her establish herself as a sexy symbol of the industry. The role she played as a private detective in the crime-drama show 'Charlie's Angles' was much appreciated. The show followed the adventures of three women working at the Los Angeles private detective firm. Alongside her glam characters, she's also known for her dramatic performance including the part of a battered husband on the TV film "The Burning Bed'. She was listed at 26 on TV Guide's list of the "50 most famous TV actors of all time'. In 1989, at age 59, she was found to be being diagnosed with anal cancer. The cancer died three years later.
